How To Untag Yourself From a Facebook Post, if you don’t like

It’s understandable that – sometimes – you might not wish to be tagged in certain Facebook photos or posts, no matter the reason. So, here’s a quick rundown of how to untag yourself on Facebook in any user photo or post:

  1. Go to the photo/post in question.
  2. Click on the drop-down menu icon.
  3. Click on “Remove Tag.”

If you’re dealing with a large number of posts, you can do something else that’s not so time-consuming:

  • Head to your Activity Log (you can get there by selecting the drop-down menu in the top right corner of your Facebook page).

  • On the left side, click on “Photos You’re Tagged In” or “Posts You’re Tagged In.”
  • Find the posts/photos you want to untag yourself from, and click on the Edit button next to them on the right.
  • Afterward, click on “Report/Remove Tag.”

Keep in mind that removing yourself from a Facebook tag doesn’t mean the photo/post you’re tagged in will be deleted. It will still be visible and show up on people’s News Feeds.

Also, it’s worth mentioning that if someone continues to abusively tag you in photos or posts, you can always block them or report their profile for harassment.
